Time: 9am -3:30pm
What: The Youth Rebuilding New Orleans is an organization that repairs and works on housing in need of repair. The housing is then offered to teachers in the New Orleans area to make available a more affordable housing.
A typical day for this project can include any of the following: demolition, painting, landscaping, tiling, light construction, framing, sheetrock, etc.
Who: You – we have 30 spaces available, please sign up today!!
We have room for up to 30 people for the project, and we can use anyone with any skill level to participate. Please sign up below to participate.
You should wear appropriate clothing for a construction job site… closed-toed shoes for sure and we encourage long pants, although the latter is not mandatory. And we emphasize wearing clothes that you won’t mind possibly getting ruined (paint stained, etc.).
No experience is necessary for participation!!
All volunteers are required to sign a release form that you can find at the link below.

It’s best to have your form filled out before you and bring it with you to the site.
The group will meet in the lobby of the hotel on Monday, August 3, 2015 at 8:15 am dressed in work clothes.
Transportation will be available to transport participants to the site and return at the end of the day.
